Its been pretty hard for me to post the last week or so with the rain, plus packing to move, then getting the flu! We caught a break in the weather, and I've been dying to review this white dress that I received from Jluxlabel, formerly known as Jaide Clothing! The dress is a mock neck midi, and IT. IS. FABULOUS. Check it out!
Love, love, love! Classy and sexy at the same time, which is so me! I could totally see Beyonce or Kim K and all their curves in this piece.
Dress: Mock Neck Midi from Jluxlabel
Unfortunately it is sold out. It actually sold out in a day. I ordered a small, and then went back to order a medium the next morning, thinking it wouldn't fit my hips, but they were all out! I'm not surprised tho, their followers, including myself, will pounce as soon as they say, "we have new arrivals in!" The good thing is that they have been pretty good at restocking the really popular items, so I'm sure this will be restocked at least once. So get it on it ladies! Follow Jluxlabel on IG so you can snag this sexy number when she comes back around!
I have been such HUGE fans of the twins Tia and Tamera since their apppearance on Sister Sister back in the day! Growing up, my sisters and I watched every single episode, and I heard all my life that I've looked like them, which is definitely a compliment! Although lately I look like Solange to many people, but I digress. I've been more drawn to Tia as she matured until the beautiful woman she is today, and I love her simple sense of style, and her easy going personality. And who hasn't fallen in love with her family?! She's married to the handsome actor Cory Hardrict and together they have a son, named Cree.
Isn't he adorable?! In April, Tia visited Sirius XM radio in NY in a flowy set of pants, and a black top, and she looked so stylis and chic, and I knew immediately that I wanted to recreate her look.
Shoes: Stuart Weitzman
Very simple and chic, yes? She looks great! It was pretty easy for me to recreate this, because I already had the pants!
Shoes: Steve Madden
The pants have splits, although you can't really tell until you're walking, or if purposely shown, as we both did in our picture. If I'm not mistaken they're considered "front split," and they were a Zara TRF piece for $59.
They aren't being sold currently, as they were purchased Spring Season, but I have seen them floating around on Poshmark and Ebay if you are looking to purchase them.
So, did I nail this week's Celebrity Look of the Day?
Sportswear has made a big comeback, since 2014 Spring season. Mixing the chic with the athletic. Sporty chic, luxe athletic, whatever you want to call it - is when a designer pairs two different looks, like a baseball cap design with a rich fabric like leather, and combines them to make a totally unexpected (but also awesome) item of clothing. When pulling off the sporty-chic trend, it is important to wear more chic pieces than sporty pieces. If you have an overdose of sporty pieces, your look would be off balance and then you might as well head to the gym since you’re dressed for it.
My favorite way to wear the trend is by adding heels to a sporty look. Mainly because I don't really have athletic shoes! I purchased a coordinate set from Missguided last year that I never got around to wearing, and decided to showcase the outfit for this look.
Shoes: Gucci Ursula
Handbag: Louis Vuitton Alma Vernis
Necklace: Forever 21
I also decided to pair the sweater with army green joggers.
The trend died down a little this Spring/Summer season, but I don't mind reviving this trend every now and then!
